What made this game different was the approach this time around compared to their second encounter. Despite being down by as much as 18, Phoenix didn’t let itself roll over and instead, made some much-needed adjustments in the second half.
Phoenix didn’t have a player reach double digits in the first half, but as the second half began, it was able to get within reach of the Thunder and even take the lead throughout the game. The closing minutes of the game came down to which team could capitalize on fouls and go on offensive runs.
Ultimately, the Suns were the team to do so as Devin Booker sank in the game-winning bucket in the final seconds of the game.

There were many good aspects to note in the win, especially as the Suns continued to push hard until the final whistle.
Phoenix proved that it can compete against the best in the NBA, especially as one of the teams to take down the champions. Their last encounter was more of an outlier than a certainty.

Suns don’t look to roll over against the Thunder, but rather flip the script on the champs
