According to CBS Sports’ Chris Karpman, junior wide receiver Jordyn Tyson will take the next step in his football career by declaring for the draft.

A native of Allen, Texas, Tyson has emerged as one of the nation’s most productive receivers. After transferring from Colorado ahead of the 2023 season, he broke out with 75 catches for 1,101 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2024.

Though his 2025 campaign was limited by injuries in the second half of the season, Tyson still delivered a strong performance with 61 receptions for 711 yards and eight touchdowns. Draft analysts project the Sun Devil as a potential first-round pick, with many mock drafts placing him among the most sought-after receivers in his class.

Tyson’s decision not only completes his collegiate arc but also signals the program’s change. With several players entering the transfer portal or graduating, the team is expected to look different compared to its Big 12 title team. Still, the wide receiver’s development illustrates how much growth a player can achieve within the program.

As Tyson prepares for the next chapter, Arizona State must now find a receiver capable of filling the significant void he leaves behind.

Given how the program helped elevate Tyson’s game, it’s not unreasonable to believe the Sun Devils can develop their next standout wideout in the same way.
