OKLAHOMA CITY – The NBA Cup quarterfinals spotlight isn’t kind to the uncertain, and tonight the Phoenix Suns find themselves walking that line. Devin Booker, upgraded to questionable after a minor tweak, was actively warming up in pregame drills, a visual that already lifted spirits. Across the court, Jalen Green’s warmups were a welcome sight for fans who know his scoring burst can tilt a tight contest.

Devin Booker and Jalen Green are spotted in pregame warmups:
AZCentral’s Duane Rankin posted a video on X of both Devin Booker and Jalen Green going through pregame warmups. Booker is the Suns’ heartbeat and first option in Phoenix’s offense. Without him, though, Dillon Brooks and Collin Gillespie have carried the load. The Suns are relying on less consistent scoring options, though they are still making it work. Seeing him move freely in pregame signals that Booker’s return is close, although he may still not be ready tonight.

He’d usually be getting up shots when shootaround opened for media if he was playing.
Still questionable for tonight’s NBA Cup quarterfinals game at OKC.

Jalen Green’s warmups carry a subtler, yet equally critical weight, mainly because Green is still a way off from a return to action. The Suns saw earlier, before Jalen Green was injured, that he could provide an extra dimension against a defense that thrives on disrupting rhythm. Psychologically, Green’s presence reassures teammates and Phoenix fans alike that the Suns’ offense could have reinforcements sooner rather than later.

Strategically, this game is more than a quarterfinal; it’s a gauge of Phoenix’s adaptability under pressure. Nationally, the Suns’ performance could influence trade talks, rotations, and how other Cup contenders approach midseason matchups. Locally, every fan in the Valley is invested in seeing a full-strength backcourt reclaim its dominance, and the pregame warmups are offering a glimpse of just that.
