GLENDALE – The Arizona Cardinals offense, once again, has a poor performance. Offensive Coordinator Drew Petzing has led an offensive unit that has scored the following points to start the 2025 season: 20, 20 and 13. The defense has covered for the lack of points via pressure, turnovers and scoring themselves.

“My gut, after not watching the tape, I don’t know what the stats are, but the runs that are going for nothing, we have to be more efficient with those. I don’t know how many of those were, but it felt like a lot times it was 2nd and 10 after a run. It sets you behind the sticks.”

Cardinals HC Gannon Full postgame presser:
Arizona couldn’t get yards on early downs, putting them behind the sticks and forcing plenty of third downs. The Cardinals faced 15 third downs, and while in the first half they started four-for-eight, they would finish the rest of the game one-for-seven. The RB James Conner injury doesn’t help, but the problem relies more on the play design and the offensive line.

Gannon took the blame and stated he needed to be better, but Petzing’s offense through the first three weeks has really been exposed. Three straight games of not recording 300+ yards of total offense is inexcusable in modern NFL. It is clear something will need to change in the coming weeks.
Arizona won’t have much time to mourn the loss, as Gannon pointed out, with it playing on Thursday Night Football this week vs. the Seattle Seahawks.
