GLENDALE — Wide receiver Simi Fehoko revealed Tuesday morning on his personal TikTok account that the Arizona Cardinals have waived him.

Fehoko signed with the Cardinals on March 14 to a one-year contract after previously playing for the Los Angeles Chargers. He has been with the team since preseason camp and appeared in two preseason games for Arizona.
The wide receiver had two touchdowns and three catches for 31 yards during both games.
“The Grim Reaper done got me, man,” Fehoko said in the TikTok. “I’m probably the first person to tell people, or it’s the first thing to come out. I have just recently been released or cut from [the] Arizona Cardinals.”

Cardinals fans were shocked that the wide receiver didn’t make the 53-player squad, hoping Fehoko would provide the depth the team needs this season.
Very surprised by the Simi Fehoko release. Felt like he had done more than enough to warrant an initial 53-man roster spot.

Fehoko will be on waivers for 24 hours, and if unclaimed, he is expected to rejoin the Cardinals on the practice squad.

“You don’t really have a say in what happens,” Fehoko said. “So at this point, it’s just control what you can control and let everything work out the way it’s supposed to work out.”
