GLENDALE – The Arizona Cardinals continue to bulk up their defensive front with the signing of former UFL Arlington Renegades defensive tackle Kyon Barrs. The 25-year-old played four years at the university of Arizona and played 38 games with the Wildcats, recording 12.5 tackles for loss and five sacks. Barrs would then join the Renegades and collected 24 tackles and a sack in 10 games this past season.

Cardinals announce the signing of Barrs:
Barrs does have NFL experience, signing with the Seattle Seahawks after going undrafted in 2023. While not finding a home with Arizona’s NFC West rival, Barrs had the intangibles to make an impact with this talented front defensive front. At 6’3 and 300+ pounds, Barrs has stellar size that’ll join edge Josh Sweat and Calais Campbell.

Training camp begins Tuesday for the franchise, where Barrs and his fellow defensive lineman will be able to put the work to earn a roster spot on the 53-man roster next year. Barrs hasn’t appeared in an NFL game in his football career, but gets an opportunity in the Valley.
