Arizona has dealt with a barrage of injuries so far this season, and Shelby Miller is now facing a situation of his own. Earlier this season, star closing pitchers A.J. Puk and Justin Martinez both underwent season-ending injuries, as the hits can’t stop coming for this D-Backs pitching staff. Arizona recalled right-handed pitcher Juan Morillo in a move to help in the absence of yet another closing pitcher.

Arizona has been able to rely on Miller, as he has been a strong point for this bullpen even dealing with all of the injuries as Miller has 37 saves along with a 1.98 ERA. Miller has taken over the role with ease and has settled in nicely this season for Arizona.

The D-Backs will have a couple of names to take over for the time being. Jalen Beeks, Kevin Ginkel, and Kyle Backhus could be in line if Miller were to miss a good amount of time. The closing role could very well be up in the air for the time being, and all hands could be on deck for the Snakes.
