The Snakes have been relying on their explosive offense as of late to keep them in these contests. Guys like Ketel Marte and Eugenio Suárez have come on and led this ball club as of late. In the last seven days, Marte is hitting a .375 batting average with 12 hits. Suárez on the other hand has a .444 batting average, 1.148 slugging percentage, along with six home runs.

Settling on the mound on Sunday:

Brandon Pfaadt will look to come in and perform his best on Sunday to help the Snakes get the sweep. Pfaadt has an 8-4 record with a 5.38 ERA. In his last outing in Toronto against the Blue Jays, Pfaadt only lasted five innings while giving up two earned runs on four hits. If Pfaadt can return to the form he was in at the beginning of the season, Arizona could truly have something to rely on moving forward.

The Rockies will be having Antonio Senzatela on the mound today. It’s been a rough year for Senzatela, as his 2-10 record and 6.72 ERA shows that he has yet to find his groove. He was able to pitch five innings while only allowing one run on three hits in Washington against the Nationals and will look to keep his cool again against Arizona’s explosive offense.

Sunday could see the Diamondbacks pull off the sweep over the Colorado Rockies as the Snakes look to end their road trip on a high note. The D-Backs took the first two games of the series this weekend with their electric presence at the plate, and strong bullpen pitching. First pitch at Coors Field is today at 12:10 p.m. PT.
