Arizona split those 16 games, winning eight and dropping eight. They faced some of the best teams in the league, including the Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, and Philadelphia Phillies. The D-Backs are coming back home after beating the San Francisco Giants, as they took the series two games out of three.

Friday night pitchers:

Corbin Burnes will look to build off his last stellar outing for the D-Backs after he pitched seven scoreless innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Burnes has a 2-1 record with a 2.95 ERA, but those numbers are sure to only get better as he looks more determined and locked in as the season rolls on.

The Rockies announced that Carson Palmquist will be making his major league debut tonight at Chase Field. Palmquist is the No. 1 left-handed pitcher in their farm system and was called up after having a 3.82 ERA over 35.1 innings in seven starts in Albuquerque.

The Rockies are looking to break a three-game skid, their last win came on 5-3 win over the Padres last Sunday, for only their seventh win of the 2025 season. If guys like Corbin Carroll and Ketel Marte can keep their foot on the gas pedal, with the way Corbin Burnes is pitching, it could be a long night and start to rivalry weekend for the Colorado Rockies on Friday. First pitch tonight at Chase Field is at 6:40 p.m. PT.
