It was a slow one last night at Oracle Park, but the Diamondbacks will take the win as they beat the San Francisco Giants by a score of 2-1. It was also Corbin Carroll’s night on Monday as he hit two home runs off Justin Verlander. Carroll is slowly cementing himself as one of the most talented hitters in the entire league. So far on the 2025 season, Carroll has a .282 batting average with a .356 OBP and 13 home runs, which is just one shy in that column with the names of Aaron Judge and Kyle Schwarber. Carroll also leads the league in triples with five and leads the NL wil total bases at 106.

Tuesday night’s pitching matchups:

Right-hander Brandon Pfaadt will get the start for the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday night. Pfaadt comes into the matchup against the Giants with a 6-2 record and a 3.28 ERA. His last outing came against the Los Angeles Dodgers, when Pfaadt shut them out in 6.1 innings pitched while only giving up four hits. He has been the most consistent pitcher in this D-Backs rotation this season and looks to build off of his strong season so far on Tuesday.

Former Diamondback Robbie Ray will be on the mound for the San Francisco Giants today. Ray comes into the matchup with a 5-0 record and a 2.84 ERA, and will look to keep up his momentum during his resurgent season. Oddly enough, Ray has never faced his former ball club before.
