GLENDALE – Kyler Murray is approaching his seventh season with the Arizona Cardinals — and according to the franchise quarterback, he hopes it’s the last team he ever plays for.

However, the 28-year-old has grown as a player and captain, helping drag the team out of the mud of back-to-back four-win seasons.
Entering 2025, Arizona has expectations for the first time in years of making a serious playoff push. The franchise is on the up, and Murray told Cam Cox of 12 News that he plans to ride out the wave with the team for the rest of his career.

Murray on staying with Cardinals:
“If I could play my whole career here, finish it out here, sign me up,” Murray said. “Kobe [Bryant] played for one organization his whole career. That’s something I admire, and that’s something I want to do.”

Murray mentioned Bryant as the symbol of loyalty, but another prime example is wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, who played his entire 17-year Hall of Fame career with the Cardinals. The two-time Pro Bowler will pass Jake Plummer this season as the longest-tenured quarterback in franchise history since the team moved to the Valley in 1988.
The goal remains the same: making the postseason for only the second time with Murray under center, a stat that frustrated the Cardinals quarterback. However, it hasn’t swayed his confidence entering next year, with him wanting to bring fans the organization’s first Super Bowl.
“I want to do it here,” Murray said. “There is no other place I’d rather be.”
