The goals helped bring back Phoenix from a 2-0 deficit and draw against Sacramento. Cabral said it was tough effort, especially coming out of a match they had played a few days prior against FC Tulsa in the US Open Cup.

“We played 120 minutes and came back on Saturday to play at 1 in the afternoon,” Cabral said. “It wasn’t easy, but I think the team had a really good reaction to show the character we have.”
When asked about Rivera’s match-tying goal, Cabral said he was happy for him.
“(The goal) is going to take his confidence higher, because we know we’re going to need everyone on the team,” said Cabral. “The guys on the bench are going to finish the game. As coach says, they’re the finishers. They’re going to help us.”
Cabral and Phoenix will now take that momentum into the USL Jägermeister Cup as they host San Antonio FC this Saturday, April 26, at 7 p.m.
