The Gunslingers started the game on a quick note. Its first drive resulted in seven points on a 10-yard rush from Gunslinger’s Keyshawn Harper. After the Rattlers failed to score in its first possession of the game, the Gunslingers didn’t waste any time and scored another seven. The Rattlers were playing from behind, 0-14, within the first minutes of the first quarter. Rattlers’ wide receiver Jamal Miles would get them on the board on a one-yard rushing touchdown going into the second quarter.

The Rattler offense began to push in the second quarter. Quarterback Dalton Sneed led the charge with a rushing touchdown of his own. The Rattlers would take the lead after a Ron Brown Jr. rushing touchdown. Brown Jr. would then score 2 more rushing touchdowns to take the Rattlers to a 32-21 lead at the half.

Sneed and Brown Jr. kept the Rattlers on top for the last half, with four more touchdowns between both players to keep a well-cushioned lead the rest of the game. While the offense did its fair share of the work for the win, the defense also kept the Gunslingers at bay.

Rattlers linebacker Rashie Hodge Jr. intercepted the Gunslingers twice, one from an attempted 2-point conversion by the Gunslingers. Enough was done for a Rattler win, securing its third win in the same number of games this 2025 season.

The Rattlers will go for a 4-0 record at home against the Northern Arizona Wranglers on Saturday, April 26th, at 6:05 p.m.
