ASU football secure 4-star DB recruit Jalen Willaims from Georgia

TEMPE – The recruits just keep piling in for Arizona State football. ASU secured its seventh overall commitment from the 2026 class in defensive back Jalen Williams. The Georgia native hails from Kell High School and is the program’s first cornerback commitment in 2026. Two months ago, Williams visited Tempe for an unofficial visit. The four-star recruit was seen as a potential huge get for head coach Kenny Dillingham, and on Saturday, Williams made it official.

Williams is scrappy, standing at 6 feet and 160 pounds, but he has stellar speed for his size. He’ll help an ASU squad that was 10th in the Big 12 in passing yards allowed per game at 226.7. The high school junior talked to Sun Devils Source, noting that his relationships with the ASU coaching staff helped with his decision.

Defensive backs coach Bryan Carrington and Williams had a great talk when the recruit visited the Sun Devils two months ago. Williams highlighted that he “relates” to Carrington greatly and had a stellar relationship with his father.
Dillingham stood out to Williams, with the newest Sun Devil highlighting that the ASU coach is something special.

“A lot of people say [head coach Kenny Dillingham] is a good person,” Williams said to Sun Devils Source. “But I wanted to see it for myself, and he lived up to his reputation.”

The addition of Williams to the Sun Devils’ secondary will be essential for the program’s future in competing for a national championship in the years to come.
