In what used to be the US Airways Center and what is now Footprint Center, a 20-year-old Durant led the Sophomores to a 122-116 win over the Rookies in the 2009 NBA Rising Stars game.
Durant erupted for 46 points, seven rebounds and four assists on 17-for-25 shooting, winning the game’s MVP and giving some incredible foreshadowing for his future career.
