The winter transfer portal window ended on Dec. 24, however, players on teams playing bowl games after that day were awarded an extension.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!NCAA rules permits anyone playing on a team with a postseason bowl or playoff game an extended five-day period following the contest to enter the portal. Arizona State’s window re-opened following its 39-31 double-overtime loss to Texas in the Chick-fil-a Peach Bowl on Jan. 1, seeing a trio of Sun Devils throw their names in the hat in search of new schools.
Redshirt senior wide receiver Troy Omeire, redshirt freshman defensive lineman Landen Thomas and redshirt freshman offensive lineman Sirri Kandiyeli entered their names in the transfer portal during the five-day window.
I will be entering the transfer portal with 3 years of eligibility.

The biggest loss of the three was the last to go, watching Omeire enter the portal for the second time in his career on Jan. 7.
Omeire was one of ASU head coach Kenny Dillingham’s first pick ups after arriving in Tempe, grabbing the redshirt senior from Texas in January 2023. The wide receiver got lost in the Sun Devils’ successful transition to prominence this year.
The redshirt senior’s five catches for 59 yards was a significant drop-off from his 20 catches for 223 yards and three touchdowns the year prior. He recorded season-highs two receptions for 40 yards in the quarterfinal College Football Playoff loss to his former team. He only made one catch for 9 yards for the Longhorns after signing to Texas as a four-star recruit in the Class of 2020.

Arizona State made seven additions to its wide receiver room between early national signing day and the winter transfer portal window, including the No. 1 high school senior from New Mexico in Cameron Dyer and former Fresno State redshirt sophomore wide receiver Jalen Moss, who caught 103 passes for 1,269 yards and 10 touchdowns during his two year-tenure as a Bulldog. Omeire was the fourth Sun Devil receiver to enter the portal since December.
Thomas and Kandiyeli announced their departure before Omeire, officially entering the portal on Jan. 3 and 4 respectively. Both players signed to Arizona State as three-star high school prospects out of the Class of 2023.
The defensive line transfer has already seen immediate success in the portal, announcing an offer from UNLV via X Friday and being welcomed by the Rebels for an official visit Tuesday. Dillingham gave his stamp of approval via X for his fifth defensive line transfer this winter.
“No brainer for somebody out there!!! Wants to play! Great person!,” Dillingham tweeted.

Kandiyeli was a local signing from Mountain View High School (Mesa). He is one of two offensive lineman from ASU in search of a new home.
With the latest additions to the portal, Arizona State now has 19 players who have entered and have signed six.
