Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The 29-year-old right guard was quickly ruled out, and the initial signs of the injury don’t appear promising. Hernandez has played in every game since December 2022.
Former NFL team physician Dr. David J. Chao shared his analysis of Hernandez’s injury on social media, indicating that the offensive lineman is likely headed to injured reserve. Chao pointed to a potential left knee MCL injury based on the video of the incident.

Chao wrote, “Left Week 5 game early due to by video a left knee MCL injury that will likely require missed time include a potential IR stay, hopefully no associated damage besides the MCL issue but worry for an extended absence for the right guard.”
Replacing Hernandez at right guard was Trystan Colon, who is playing in his 5th season in the NFL and 2nd with the Cardinals.
