Despite a historical performance in Week 2 against the Rams that included four receptions for 130 yards and two touchdowns, Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. was not named Rookie of the Week. Instead, the honor went to Jets running back Braelon Allen.

Neverthless, the announcement of Allen’s win sparked frustration among fans, many of whom felt that Harrison was the clear standout rookie in Week 2. A quick glance at social media reveals the consensus: Marvin Harrison Jr. was the best rookie on the field.

Another rookie who made a strong case for the weekly honor was Malik Nabers of the New York Giants. The 6th overall pick caught 10 passes for 127 yards and a touchdown.
In Week 1, the award went to Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels.
