Kyler Murray released his first gameday vlog on his new YouTube channel that gave fans an exclusive look at his preparation for the Arizona Cardinals’ 41-10 victory over the Los Angeles Rams.

In the video entitledDay in the Life of a NFL QB on GAMEDAY,” Murray starts off his day at 7:30 in the morning eating pancakes made by his mom rather than his personal chef. His personal chef still makes him steak and eggs to go along with the pancakes.

“I feel good,” Murray said while calmly eating the food. “Got to regulate the emotions before the game. Can’t be too high.”

A little bit later, Murray’s father, Kevin, stopped by ahead of Arizona’s home opener, as the Cardinals looked to bounce back following their 34-28 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 1.

“It’s gameday, bro,” his dad said. “Got no choice but to win. Should be 1-0, it is what it is, but can’t f— this one up. Long, uphill battle if you start the season 0-2 in this league, can’t do it.”

The camera then cut to Murray doing a little pregame workout in his pool before heading to the game, where it shows him entering the stadium.

Murray would not let the Cardinals drop to 0-2 as he ended the game becoming the second player in Cardinals’ history to have a perfect passer rating of 158.3 after he completed 17-of-21 passes (81%) for 266 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing five times for 59 yards. His game jersey and ball from the win are going to be displayed at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio after he became just the second player in NFL history to have a perfect passer rating, more than 250 passing yards and more than 50 rushing yards in a game. Only Cincinnati’s Ken Anderson had accomplished this feat way back on Nov. 3, 1974 against Baltimore when he had 297 passing yards, 62 rushing yards and a 158.3 rating.

“It was a good day,” Murray said in the vlog while walking out of the stadium.

He then discussed Marvin Harrison Jr.’s big performance, as the rookie had four catches for 130 yards and two touchdowns, after only recording one catch for four yards in Week 1. His first catch of the game was an incredible fashion as he somehow got both feet down in the back of the end zone on a 23-yard touchdown reception.

“I was just praying he caught that s—, bro,” Murray said of the catch. “I was a little nervous (if that was a touchdown or not).”

Murray then went home and rode his electric bike around while recapping the game.

“Felt good,” Murray said. “Had a great week of practice coming off last week, obviously feeling like as a team, we didn’t do enough, up 17-3 at one point in the game last week, having to flush that loss on the road against a good team. Being able to win that game, that would’ve been huge.

“I was proud of the guys, man, just to be able to flush a tough loss in the season opener, in a game that we felt like we should have won, to be able to come out here, home opener, play the way we did, in every phase of the game, offense, defense, special teams. We had a great week of practice, and it showed. We played well today. Offensively, it felt good to get it going, get some explosives and get Marv (Harrison) going. JC (James Conner) got going, o-line blocked the a—– off. Mike (Wilson) and (Greg) Dortch and Trey (McBride). Higgy Bear (Elijah Higgins), it was good. Trey Benson, Mari (Emari Demercado) got in, it was good, man.”

Murray was asked about how he felt about everyone who was doubting him to having that kind of game.

“It is what it is, but we got to keep doing it, I got to keep doing it,” Murray said. “I’m my biggest critic, bro. I expect greatness out of myself. I expect greatness out of our team because you’ve seen a glimpse of it, the work we put in … My whole life’s dreams is to win Super Bowls.

“Obviously, I hate to click-baity s—, and mixing my words, I hate that s—, but it’s part of the life we live nowadays (with) social media. It is what it is. We always let our play speak for ourselves.”

After such a dominant win in which Arizona outgained Los Angeles 489-245 in total yards, Murray talked about how he feels about the season.

“The team, bro, I love this team. The way we play together, the way we care for each other,” Murray said. “Coach (Jonathan Gannon) does a great job. Drew (Petzing), Nick (Rallis), they do a great job. We’re all just playing together, I think the sky’s the limit for us.

“Obviously, it’s only Week 2. You know what I’m saying? 1-1, we got to keep doing it. We got a tough Detroit Lion team coming in here next week off of a L, so they’re same brand of ball (as us): hard-nosed, get to the football, well coached. It’s gonna be a good one.”

Kevin Murray then spoke about his impressions of the game.

“It’s phenomenal, just seeing him relaxed and relieved after a big win where he put on a clinic right at the crib,” the elder Murray said. “Home opener, against a good Rams team. S—, it don’t get no better than that, man.

“Man went ham today, it feels great to see him do his thing and have peace of mind. That s— is priceless, man, but we know ain’t nothing easy on Sundays. Ain’t nothing guaranteed on Sunday, any given Sunday, s— can go one way or the other. I’m so happy for him, proud of him, they balled today.”
