The Arizona Cardinals have managed to get through the first two weeks of the season pretty unscathed when it comes to injuries.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! After starting right tackle Jonah Williams was placed on IR with a knee injury after Week 1, the Cardinals (1-1) appear to only be getting healthier after their Week 2 blowout victory over the Los Angeles Rams.
This is how their first injury report of Week 3 looked on Wednesday ahead of their matchup against the Detroit Lions (with practice statuses):
- DL Dante Stills (Shoulder) – Limited
- OL Will Hernandez (Ankle) – Full
- WR Xavier Weaver (Oblique) – Full
Weaver did not play on Sunday after being limited in practice with the oblique injury that sidelined him Week 1. Stills also did not play, so his injury could have occurred during Wednesday’s practice.
Meanwhile, the Lions (1-1) have a much more significant injury report, highlighted by star wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, who was a full participant with a quadricep injury after being hobbled during the Lions’ 20-16 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday.
Five players, however, did not practice. This is Detroit’s full report:
- LB Alex Anzalone (Concussion) – DNP
- CB Terrion Arnold (Illness) – DNP
- G Graham Glasgow (Knee) – DNP
- S Ifeatu Melifonwu (Ankle) – DNP
- CB Ennis Rakestraw (Hamstring) – DNP
- S Kerby Joseph (Back) – Limited
- WR Isaiah Williams (Abdomen) – Limited
- DE Marcus Davenport (Groin) – Full
- WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (Quadricep) – Full
Sunday’s game kicks off at 1:25 p.m. MST at State Farm Stadium.
