Playing for any team as stacked and historic as Team USA’s men’s basketball squad at the 2024 Paris Olympics can bring about a lot of historic moments.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! This can be especially true for the younger players on the team, who got to play alongside some of the greats of the game who they watched growing up.
Minnesota Timberwolves 23-year-old star Anthony Edwards, the youngest player on the team, talked multiple times about how excited he was to play with his childhood idol in Kevin Durant.
Indiana Pacers 24-year-old star Tyrese Haliburton, who was in the same draft class as Edwards, shared a full circle today with LeBron James and Durant.
“my mom sent me these pics this morning, life crazy lol,” Haliburton captioned a post of him wearing James’ old jerseys on X.

Haliburton did not get much playing time in the Olympics en route to Team USA’s fifth-straight gold medal, but did have a lot of fun with the experience.

Haliburton and Edwards figure to be some crucial players for Team USA moving forward, and with this likely being the last Olympic go-around for Durant, James and Curry, they will always have this Olympics to cherish and look back on.
