Rothstein reported on X (formerly Twitter) that Arizona State will take on West Coast Conference juggernaut Gonzaga in a home-and-home series, with the first game this season in Spokane, WA. Then in the 2025-26 season, the Bulldogs will travel to Tempe.

“Arizona State and Gonzaga will begin a home-and-home series on Nov. 10 in Spokane, according to multiple sources,” Rothstein said. “Return game in Tempe during the 2025-26 season.”

The time of the first game has not been announced and the information of a possible date for when ASU hosts Gonzaga is unavailable as well.

Arizona State is coming off a 14-18 season last year in which they made it to the first round of the NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Tournament before narrowly losing to TCU, 72-70.

Led by head coach Bobby Hurley and his staff, the Sun Devils recruitment for the upcoming season has seen strong commitments from intriguing high school stars as well as multiple transfers looking to help bolster the roster heading into its first season as a Big 12 program.

Five-star recruits Jayden Quantaince and Joson Sanon are projected to be the two focal points of how the Sun Devils will operate. Milwaukee guard BJ Freeman, Ball State forward Basheer Jihad and Missouri State guard Alston Mason all transferred to ASU in the offseason.

As for Gonzaga, longtime coach Mark Few and his squad eye another dominant year in the WCC after going 14-2 in the conference and 27-8 overall. The Bulldogs made it to the Sweet 16 of “March Madness,” eventually falling to the No. 1 seeded and tournament runner-up Purdue.

Gonzaga has made it to the Sweet 16 in nine of the past 10 seasons, except for 2020. In addition, they have been the WCC regular-season champions every year since 2013 and won the conference tournament 10 out of 11 years, showing just how dominant their program has been.
