Suns players, basketball fans in awe over Kevin Durant’s stellar Team USA performance vs. Serbia

After missing every exhibition before the Paris 2024 Olympics with a calf strain, Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant returned for the tournament’s opening game vs. Serbia and shocked the basketball world.

Coming off the bench in his first appearance for Team USA this year, Durant was automatic with 21 points off of a perfect 8-for-8 shooting from the field in the first half. He finished with 23 points after two free throws in the latter half of a 110-84 win.

Being able to score at will and utilized in a different role than usual, the Washington D.C. native was a problem on offense and Serbia ran into difficulties in stopping him. Durant went 5-for-5 from three, picking his spots and making no mistakes on the opportunities he had to score from beyond the arch.

Setting social media into a frenzy with this offensive explosion, some of his Suns teammates chimed in and praised the show Durant put on for Team USA.
