After declining his player option with the Suns last week, center Drew Eubanks has agreed to a two-year, $10 million deal with the Utah Jazz, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Jazz will be Eubanks’ third team in three years. He spent the 2022-2023 season with the Portland Trail Blazers before joining the Suns for the 2023-2024 season.

Last year in Phoenix, Eubanks served as the backup center behind Jusuf Nurkic. He averaged 5.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 0.8 assists per game.

Entering this offseason, it initially appeared that Eubanks would be returning to Phoenix. On May 11th, he told Duane Rankin of AZCentral, “The full organization wants me back… and I want to be a Phoenix Sun next year. I’m going to make the best decision for my family and me when the time comes.”

When the Suns signed Eubanks last season, they were required to forfeit a 2024 second-round draft pick due to tampering violations.

The player option he turned down with the Suns was worth $2.7 million.

Replacing Eubanks for the time being will be former Los Angeles Clippers center Mason Plumlee, whom the Suns recently signed to a veteran-minimum contract of $3.3 million.
