Announced on social media, Edmond (Okla.) Sante Fe High School running back Demarius Robinson has committed to Arizona State.

In April, Robinson visited ASU when the program hosted its annual spring game before coming up with this decision that after he graduates high school, he will be heading to Tempe. Along with Arizona State, he was also considering North Texas, Tulsa, Kansas State and Houston. Central Arkansas, Abilene Christian, Sam Houston State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech also sent offers to him in the past.

247Sports rates him as a three-star recruit and the No. 14 best high school player in Oklahoma. Concluding his junior year recently at Edmond Sante Fe, Robinson is listed at 5-foot-10, 175 pounds.

While with the Wolves last season, he played in 11 games, rushed for 2,139 yards from 213 carries and scored 28 touchdowns, as reported by MaxPreps.

According to 247Sports scouting analyst Gabe Brooks, Robinson is a strong add for the Sun Devils at running back who has a couple of areas he can improve in to become even better.

“Instinctive backfield playmaker with position-specific feel and nuance,” Brooks said. “Knows how to press blocks and allows lanes to manifest. Displays impressive speed-changing detail at multiple levels. Dangerous jump cutter who bursts out of redirection. Can string together moves at the second level with spins, hesitation, and open-field slalom ability. Owns a somewhat slight build that may limit physical upside. Needs more reps as a pass catcher (30 catches in three seasons), especially considering potential as a matchup problem for linebackers and safeties in gadget alignments.

“Also capable of providing valuable wildcat snaps if desired. Top-end gear does not always match initial juice. Runs track with an 11.33 100 his best number to date. Recent years have seen some smaller backs achieve high-volume productivity through high school and into college, so that’s the hope here. Projects to the P4 level as a valuable piece to a running back room that features varying sizes and styles.”

Robinson is the first running back for ASU in the loaded class of 2025, which is 247SportsNo. 14 best class in the nation. San Tan Charter High School wide receiver Uriah Neloms was the latest commit for the Sun Devils before Robinson.
