Saturday officially marked the first day NCAA Division I and Division II coaches would be allowed to recruit current high school juniors. Coaches are allowed to exchange texts, have phone calls and make verbal offers with prospects for the 2026 collegiate season.
Here are the 17 names – at the time of reporting – that have received offers from Arizona State:
ASU Recruiting Offers for 2026 (So Far)
Orem (Utah) TE Kai Wesley, Crean Lutheran (Calif.) EDGE Anthony Jones, Mission Viejo (Calif.) wide receiver Vance Spafford, Mater Dei (Calif.) EDGE Shaun Scott, Oaks Christian (Calif.) tight end Colby Simpson, North Forney (Texas) cornerback Josiah Turner, Pflugerville (Texas) tight end Jaivion Martin, Mililani (Hawaii) linebacker Trehsyn Fesili, Leuzinger (Calif.) linebacker Samu Moala, Shoemaker (Texas) offensive tackle Troy Pless, El Cerrito (Calif.) safety Savion Bandy, Hamilton (Ariz.) running back Jacob Brown, Hamilton linebacker Beau Jandreau, Cy Springs (Texas) defensive back Paris Melvin Jr., Central Catholic (Ore.) linebacker Donnie Vercher III, Ridge Point (Texas) offensive tackle Avery Morcho
Out of the list, there are several four-star prospects and many three-stars from this list according to 247Sports.
While every player mentioned above and a plethora of other high school juniors will be receiving multiple offers from different schools around the country, they will not be eligible to take official and unofficial visits until August 1. Once that date comes, however, they will be able to go on as many visits as they can after the NCAA relaxed its rules in April 2023 but the prospects will not be allowed to have more than one visit with the same school.
Setting a date for when coaches can start recruiting each class is fairly new since it will prohibit some schools from recruiting earlier than others. This causes coaches to have a “dead period,” a mandatory break from recruiting.
Time will tell when commits will roll in from this class, but the fact that ASU is already planning for the future is a sign of how aggressive and good they want to be as a program going forward.
