After several schools participated in hosting girls flag football teams during the 2022-23 academic year, the AIA sanctioned it as an official high school-level sport this past 2023-24 season, including it in their varsity sport programs.

The Cardinals have been involved with the sport several times, including quarterback Kyler Murray doing the inaugural coin toss to kick off the season last August.

Players from both the Cardinals, including No. 4 overall pick Marvin Harrison Jr., and the various high schools had a lot of fun at the Cardinals’ practice facility today.
