The hype surrounding the launch of the “EA College Football 25” video game made by company EA Sports is growing exponentially as the release is scheduled for July 19.

Because of this and all of the licensing to have official schools in the game, the universities will be paid by EA but in a unique way.

Based on the AP Poll finishes from the last decade, the dollar amount awarded to each team will be divided through separate tiers. The higher the rankings in the polls, the higher the payout will be.

On X (formerly Twitter), College Football Report showed the details of how much every school in the game will get.

College powerhouses like Alabama, Michigan, LSU and Georgia are in Tier One, so they will get just short of $100,000.

Tier Two features 37 teams including Arizona who will get $59,925.09 while Arizona State revieves $39,950,06 in Tier Three.

Since 2013, there has been no installment of this game series by EA Sports until this year. Electronic Arts settled a lawsuit with former college football players who claimed their name, image and likeness (NIL) were used without their permission. Included in the settlement, EA would stop producing video games with college football.

The hiatus has been lifted and the game is set to launch on July 16 with the “Deluxe” and “MVP” editions before the full release on July 19. The base game or “Standard” edition will cost $69.99, with the “Deluxe” at $99.99 and the “MVP” going for $149.99.
