Saguaro baseball looks to extend win streak

Patrick Breen/The Republic-USA TODAY NETWORK

The Saguaro Sabercats’ varsity baseball team has put together a hot start to the season and is coming off monster victories.  They are currently 7-2 and on a six-game win streak.

MLB Draft prospect and Saguaro’s senior LHP Cam Caminiti has been a treat to watch.

Caminiti has pitched three games and won all three this season. He currently has a ridiculous 0.60 ERA.

The LSU commit is already drawing the eyes of several MLB scouts.

Having arguably the best pitcher in Arizona, Saguaro is not a team you want to face. The team has won 10-0 in four of their last five games.

The Sabercats are coming off a season of falling short in the 4A Championship game to Canyon del Oro. They will look to put that behind them and get back to the championship with a different outcome.

Saguaro is set to travel to face the Prescott Badgers on Monday, March 11 @ 3 p.m. MST.

Casteel dominate Chandler, advance to 5-1
