Zac Gallen, making his Cactus League debut for 2024, allowed two earned runs off a pair of hits and walks. Gallen was pulled in the 3rd inning with his team trailing by two.

The Rangers extended their lead in the 5th inning against Slade Cecconi, with Joshua Hatcher hitting a triple and Adolis Garcia adding a double to bring in three more runs.

Cecconi was taken out of the game with one out in the 5th. Jose Castillo came in as relief and managed a quick double play to end the inning, preventing further damage.

In the 8th inning, with two outs, Texas added two more runs to their lead with a Cameron Cauley single up the middle, marking his second hit of the afternoon.

These runs proved to be crucial as the Diamondbacks tacked on a pair in the 9th as Tristin English drove in two runs with two outs. Jong Hyoun Sim then drove in English with a ground-rule double.

The game would come to an end with the D-backs stranding the bases loaded.

Looking ahead, the Diamondbacks are set to face the Chicago Cubs tomorrow at 1:10 pm. Merrill Kelly is slated to start for Arizona.
