Grayson Allen had 24 points, Kevin Durant posted 22, Devin Booker added 21 and Royce O’Neale finished with 20 for the Suns (34-24). Phoenix shot 44-for-93 (47.3%) from the field, snapping a two-game losing streak.

LeBron James led the Lakers (31-27) in scoring with 28 points. Anthony Davis had 23 while D’Angelo Russell grabbed 20 in the loss.

Scoring the most points they have had in a quarter this season, Phoenix led 48-25 at the end of the first. Off of an 18-1 run, Booker got six during that span. Bol Bol checked into the game, scored seven throughout the initial frame and 11 overall.

Down by 23, the Lakers started the second quarter with a 7-0 stretch before cutting the deficit to just 72-63 in the second. Leading Los Angeles’ charge from behind, Russell posted 18 points from 7-of-9 shooting and 4-for-5 from three.

The Lakers were within striking distance of tying the game in the third as they were trailing by five, 95-90. Davis had 10 points in the quarter.

But as both teams headed to the fourth quarter, the shots were not falling for either side as each squad was only shooting around a 30% clip in the final 12 minutes.

Davis would score seven points to regain the momentum for the Lakers before O’Neale got hot late with two three pointers to eventually close out the game, 123-113 Suns.

Phoenix blocked nine shots, were 18-of-19 from the free-throw line and heavily out rebounded Los Angeles 51-34.
