After making his first appearance since November 7th in last night’s game against the Utah Jazz, Ben Simmons has now been ruled out of the Nets’ upcoming meeting with the Suns due to a knee contusion.

In the Nets’ impressive 33-point victory over the Utah Jazz, Ben Simmons ended just two rebounds short of a triple-double. He scored 10 points on a perfect 5/5 shooting and recorded 11 assists.

This season, Simmons has only participated in 7 games for Brooklyn. Before this recent knee injury, a pinched nerve in his back had kept him sidelined.

Although the MRI revealed no structural damage to his knee, the duration of his absence remains uncertain.

Notably, in games where the Nets have been without Ben Simmons this season, they have a record of 14-25. Conversely, when he is in good health, they boast a 4-3 record.

The Nets are set to face the Suns for the second time this season tonight at 6:30. In their initial encounter back in December, Brooklyn secured a 116-112 victory.
