After the win, head coach Frank Vogel compared Booker’s night to him going “mamba mode,” referring to Kobe Bryant.
“Devin Booker 50 piece. Mamba mode tonight… The Phoenix Suns are coming. The momentum is building. Keep it going.”

Ironically, Booker’s prior 50-point performance also came against the Pelicans. The Suns erased a 20-point deficit in this game last December, led by Booker.
Overall, this season, Booker is averaging 27 points and 7.7 assists per game. However, with fan voting in the books, D-Book is 9th overall in Western Conference All-Star voting among guards.
Now it is up to current players and media members to send Booker to his 4th All-Star game.
