Coming off a momentum-shifting come-from-behind win against the Kings, the Phoenix Suns picked up their fourth straight win, led by Devin Booker.

Booker came out of the gate scorching hot, scoring 25 points in the 1st quarter for the 2nd time this season. He did this on 9/11 shooting.

This allowed Phoenix to jump out to a 41-28 lead, from which they continued to build upon the rest of the night. Other than in the first couple of minutes, the Suns did not trail the entire game; their largest lead was 30.

Eerily similar to his last performance against the Pelicans, where he scored 58, Booker scored a season-high 52 points on 18-30 shooting. If it were not for the fact that the Suns held such a comfortable lead, Booker could have very easily matched that 58-point mark again.

Besides Eric Gordon, who shot 1-8 from deep, the Suns clicked on all cylinders in what should be looked at as their most convincing win of the season. Considering Phoenix’s struggles against above-500 teams, tonight was a positive sign for what lies ahead.

On the defensive end, Phoenix held the Pelicans to 8–40 shooting from beyond the arc. This is quite impressive considering the Pelicans are the 3rd best three-point shooting team in the NBA in terms of 3P%.

With a final score of 128-109, the Suns have tied their 2nd longest winning streak of the season and are back to five games above .500.

Next up for Phoenix is a meeting with the Indiana Pacers on Friday inside Footprint Center.
