Transfer Portal Surge

The transfer portal has been booming after a chaotic past week for college football causing several coaching changes with multiple top programs.

After leading the Washington Huskies to a Pac-12 title and a trip to the national championship game, head coach Kalen DeBoer was offered a chance to replace legendary coach Nick Saban at Alabama. DeBoer almost immediately took the job and will now be the new head coach for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Several Husky players have entered the portal following the news and may look to follow DeBoer to Alabama.

Those who committed and are finishing up their last high school year may not have a strong connection with new Washington head coach Jedd Fisch.

Carter’s Two-Way Potiential

Carter was ranked as a top-five prospect in the entire state of Arizona from the class of 2024. He could very well be argued to be the most dominant and versatile high school football player in Arizona over the last two years.

Carter thrives most as a pass rusher but also showed incredible potential as a receiver. During his final two seasons with the Centennial Coyotes, the senior totaled 25 sacks, 88 tackles, and two interceptions. At receiver during those seasons, he caught 60 catches for 1027 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Considering the connection with DeBoer, Alabama is a realistic landing spot for the four-star recruit. We will update Carter’s transfer status as more information comes out.
