The first half proved to be a struggle for Phoenix, plagued by issues such as poor defense, 11 turnovers, and subpar shooting. It appeared as if the Suns had left their effort at home.

Besides Grayson Allen, who ended the 2nd quarter with 20 points, accounting for nearly half of the Suns 1st half points, Phoenix would have been staring down a much bigger hole heading into the final 24 minutes.

Allen continued his impressive performance throughout the night, concluding with 29 points and once again tying his career high with 9 made three-pointers.

The Suns entered the 4th quarter trailing by 12; at one point, they trailed by 22 points.

Then, even despite trailing by 18 points with 6 minutes remaining and their turnover count reaching 20, the Suns flipped the energy around and mounted the comeback of the season.

Durant spearheaded the charge with 12 points in the final 6 minutes. With less than 2 seconds left, he strategically earned himself free throws, bringing his total for the night to 27 points.

According to Kevin Durant, it was the best 4th quarter the Suns had played all season.

Durant spearheaded the charge with 12 points in the final 6 minutes. To win the game, Durant beautifully got himself to the free throw line with less than 2 seconds left. This brought his night total to 27.

From boos echoing in Footprint Center to thunderous cheers, this win can be seen as a season-defining moment for the Suns, providing the jolt they’ve been seeking.

Looking ahead, the Suns are set to face the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night.
