After the Suns dominant win over the struggling Hornets, Bradley Beal had some jokes about Phoenix’s defensive performance in his first game back from injury.

For reference, the Suns allowed Charlotte to make 23 threes on 46 attempts. For a team that averages 110 points per game, the 119 that they put up on Phoenix raises some eyebrows.

Terry Rozier, in particular, had a season-high 42 points on 14-22 shooting. Brandon Miller, the rookie out of Alabama, scored 20 on 6-10 shooting from beyond the arc. It was Miller’s sixth game with at least 20 points this season. It should also be pointed out that 14 of these points came in the 1st half.

Bradley Beal kept his analysis of the Suns defensive performance as honest as possible, with a simple “little bit of trash.”

While the Hornets did shoot 50% from three, the Suns still managed to one-up this with a 60% performance. Eric Gordon, who shot the ball 12 times, all from beyond the arc, led the team with 7 threes.

When asked about whether or not this kind of hot shooting night is sustainable, Frank Vogel kept it simple: “We’ll see.”
