On Sunday, the (3-11) Arizona Cardinals are on the road against the (5-9) Chicago Bears. What can the Cardinals expect from their running back James Conner in this game?
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Conner has been solid all year for Arizona. He has ran for 717 yards in 10 games.
Conner is averaging 71.7 rushing yards per game, which is sixth best in the NFL.
The former Pittsburgh Steeler has had three touchdowns over the last two games.
Will This Continue Against the Bears?
The Chicago Bears have given up 118 or more rushing yards in four of their last five games. The one exception was their last game against the Cleveland Browns where they gave up 88 rushing yards in the game.
The last game against the Browns may be more a representation of the Bears run defense than the previous games. Chicago has only allowed 927 rushing yards to running backs this season. That is third best in the NFL.
Chicago is also stingy when it comes to giving up rushing touchdowns. They have allowed seven rushing touchdowns all season. Which is tied for fourth best in the league.
James Conner should get a significant amount of carries in this game. A few weeks ago against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Conner had 25 carries for 125 yards and two touchdowns.
The Cardinals were ahead for most of that game as their defense only gave up 13 points. The Bear offense is not particularly explosive. This is a game where Conner could go over that 100 yard mark once again.
