Kyler Murray’s Big Moment May Come Against the Chicago Bears

Last week the Arizona Cardinals were dominated by the San Francisco 49ers, 45-29. The 49ers may be the best team in the NFL.

Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!

They are 11-3 with the third highest scoring offense in the NFL. San Francisco is scoring 30.5 points per game.

The 49ers defense is nothing to scoff at either. They are only allowing 16.7 points per game. Which is second best in the league.

Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray was fighting an uphill battle last Sunday. He finished the game with 211 passing yards and one touchdown. He completed 26 of his 39 passes. Murray also ran for 49 yards.

Murray has now played five games for the Cardinals this season. He has had up and down results.

So far this season Murray has passed for 1,075 yards, four touchdowns and four interceptions. He has completed 62% of his passes.

Murray has played against some of the best defenses in the NFL. The Atlanta Falcons have only given up 19 passing touchdowns this season.

The Houston Texans have only given up 14 touchdown passes. Which is tied for the fewest passing touchdowns allowed in the NFL this season.

Before last night’s game against the New Orleans Saints, the Los Angeles Rams had only given up 19 touchdown passes this season.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have also only allowed 19 touchdown passes through 14 games this season.

The San Francisco 49ers have given up 15 touchdown passes so far this season. This is tied for the second fewest in the league.

So not only is Murray dealing with an offensive line that may not be the best and weapons outside of standout tight end Trey McBride that may be subpar. He has also had to play against some of the stingiest defenses in the NFL.

Murray May Put The Bear Down

This Sunday, Kyler Murray and the Cardinals offense is going against the Chicago Bears.

Chicago’s defense has not been on the same level of the other five defenses Murray has played against this year.

The Bears have allowed 26 touchdown passes this season. That is tied for the third most passing touchdowns given up.

Chicago has conceded 3,519 passing yards, which is 10th most in the NFL through the first 14 games.

There is one thing that Murray has to be weary of. The Bears are really good at creating turnovers. Their defense has 18 interceptions so far this season. Which is the second most in the NFL, only behind the 49ers.

Chicago is a boom or bust defense that depends heavily on their ability to create turnovers. If Murray can avoid throwing interceptions, he should have a big time game.

The Bears are allowing opposing quarterbacks to complete 67.3% of their passes. Murray may have his first 300 yard game, along with throwing multiple touchdowns for the first time this year.

This could be Murray’s “y’all must of forgot” moment. Where he reminds the Cardinals organization and the fans of why he is considered a franchise quarterback.
