Before becoming the 158th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft by Seattle, Smith played four years at Ohio State University (2018-21).
During his tenure as a Buckeye, he was a teammate alongside current Cardinals offensive lineman Paris Johnson Jr. though Smith’s last two seasons.
Smith would play once for the Seahawks this season with one tackle in a 37-31 overtime win over the Detroit Lions on Sept. 17.
Since then, he was placed on injured reserve before being waived and eventually re-signing to Seattle’s practice squad.
Now, Smith will join a list of Arizona linebackers consisting of Jesse Luketa, Zaven Collins, Dennis Gardeck, BJ Ojulari, Cameron Thomas and Victor Dimukeje.
However, Smith will not make his Cardinals debut against the San Francisco 49ers tomorrow after appearing on the game status list “out.”

Smith’s next opportunity to suit up for Arizona will be during their Week 16 matchup against the Chicago Bears on Dec. 24.
