Millennium’s Start To The Season

The Tigers have only played two games so far this season. Their first game resulted in a very impressive 1-0 win against a Desert Mountain team that is currently ranked No. 21 in the entire state of Arizona.

However, the team could not keep the momentum going and were shut out 3-0 against the Ironwood Eagles on Thursday.

Millennium went 6-6-4 during the 2022-23 season but showed elite defense as they have up just 20 goals all year long. They will now attempt to improve from that record and make a run in the 5A playoffs, where they lost in the first round last season.

Mustangs Come Out Firing

Sunrise Mountain has started the season striking on all cylinders.

The team is 5-1 and has outscored opponents 27-6, with their only loss of the year so far coming to Desert Mountain.

They are coming off back-to-back eight-score victories and have shown pure dominance to start the season.

The Mustangs went just 11-9-1 last season but outscored opponents 54-38. The team entered the 5A playoffs as the No. 10 seed and lost in the first round.

Matchup Outlook

Both teams would benefit greatly from a victory here and the momentum it can give is crucial.

Sunrise can improve to 6-1 and further solidify themselves as contenders, while Millennium can improve to 2-1 and beat their second great team of the season.

Make sure to tune in to this one on Tuesday night.
