His Dominant Season

Beal-Goines totaled 11 pass deflections and came away with two interceptions in his 11 games played this season.

Beal-Goines is a freak athlete and track star who runs a sub 4.4 40-yard dash and has a 42.5-inch vertical jump. The speedster took on punt return duties this season and even took one to the house for the Scorpions.

This dominant season granted him to be named Desert West 1st Team All-Region.

Team Success

This success did not come without the team winning. The Scorpions finished the season with an 11-3 record and made the 5A conference championship.

While they did lose 42-41 despite an incredible comeback, there was a controversial holding call on the Scorpions’ game-winning two-point conversion.

Many feel as if Desert Edge was robbed of a conference championship.

“I’m proud of the team and I really feel like we won that game, to be honest,” Beal-Goines said.

After that crushing loss, the Scorpions are as motivated as ever to come away with the 5A title next season.

Jamar’s Offers At The Next Level

Beal-Goines is currently the No. 12 ranked prospect in the entire state of Arizona from the class of 2025, according to 247Sports

His dominant play is not being unnoticed, as Beal-Goines has received several Divison 1 offers. That includes offers from Kansas, Iowa State, Arizona, Arizona State, Washington, UNLV, and Nevada.

He will undoubtedly continue to receive interest to play at the next level and knows he doesen’t have to rush to make a decision.

“I’m not really narrowing anything down just yet. I want to see how things go this offseason with all of the schools and how they recruit me,” Beal-Goines said.

His Final High School Season

With one high school season left before making that jump to the next level, he is staying true to what has worked and is not letting his foot off the gas.

He talked about what he’s emphasizing going into his final season.

“Just to be consistent with my technique and be my best on every play,” Beal-Goines said.

Jamar Beal-Goines and Desert Edge have a chip on their shoulders and are not a team you want to face next season.
