Hamilton Baseball Attempts to Replicate Championship Season

To kick off a new series, I will be doing an outlook on a majority of high school baseball teams ahead of the new season.

The Hamilton Huskies’ baseball team is coming off a season where they lost just five games and were named 6A State Champions.

Championship Run

The Huskies ended the 2023 season 26-5 and convincingly outscored their opponents 252-120.

The team entered the 6A conference playoffs as the No. 1 seed and did not have trouble on their path to becoming state champions.

Hamilton defeated Sunnyslope, O’Connor, Mountain Ridge, O’Connor again, and Queen Creek. They outscored opponents 38-7 in the playoffs and proved to be the most dominant team in the conference.

Huskies’ Departures

The Huskies did however suffer from some key players graduating in May.

This includes last year’s top three hit leaders Roch Cholowsky, Cooper Brass, and Josh Tiedemann.

The team also lost their dominant pitcher who went 11-0 in his senior year, Rohan Lettow.

Looking Forward To The New Season

Despite the key departures that the team has endured, they will look to repeat the overwhelmingly dominant season they just had.

The season begins in under three months and the Hamilton Huskies are the team to beat in the 6A conference as they attempt to defend their title as state champions.
