Within about 15 minutes of the Suns devastating loss to the Lakers in the NBA In-Season Tournament, Devin Booker hopped right on social media to highlight the controversial timeout granted that ultimately sealed the Suns fate.

This timeout came with just 7 seconds left in the game.

After Kevin Durant made a reverse layup to bring the Suns within two points, Phoenix had to quickly either force a turnover or foul.

In what looked to be a forced turnover, as the ball rolled away from Austin Reaves, right into the hands of Grayson Allen, who had an easy basket, then, the officials stopped the game.

Even though the ball was not in Lakers possession, LeBron James was still granted a timeout.

In Devin Booker’s story, it could not have been clearer that the officials made a mistake.

Here is what Booker had to say about the timeout during the postgame press conference:

It is obvious at first glance that this type of anger expressed by Booker is uncanny.

Booker explained, “You know when they put so much anticipation into a game, you know we are not asking for favoritism, just a fair chance.”

While it was certainly a challenging night for Booker, as he turned the ball over seven times, he certainly has every right to be upset.

After all, if there were any other player in his shoes, they would react exactly the same way to the situation.
