After being drafted 5th overall in the 2011 draft, cornerback Patrick Peterson went on to play in all 16 games for a remarkable eight seasons in a row.

Over this period, he not only maintained perfect attendance but also secured Pro Bowl honors each time, accompanied by a notable 23 interceptions.

It was truly one of the best starts a corner has had in his NFL career.

Peterson ultimately played 10 seasons with the Cardinals, until he finally moved on in 2021 to the Minnesota Vikings.

Since departing from Arizona, Peterson has made it clear that he despises the Cardinals front office, and he loves to make it known.

In 2021, the Cardinals beat the Vikings 34-33, which set the stage for a rematch in Week 8 of the 2022 season.

After Minnesota eventually walked away victorious, Peterson acknowledged that the win felt “extra special” since it was against his former team.

Now, suiting up with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Peterson will take on the Cardinals this Sunday, and he has already let everybody know that he will be taking it personally.

P2 posted on Instagram, “I remember when yall said… Lemme not go there, Tho🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️ Sunday…#P2”

Despite Peterson’s lingering grievances, it’s worth noting that the Cardinals’ front office dynamics have significantly changed since his departure.

Steve Keim, the focal point of Peterson’s criticism, is no longer the Cardinals GM. With a new head coach, defensive coordinator, and offensive coordinator in place, so it is tough to say who exactly Peterson wants to get back at.

Furthermore, it’s been three years since Peterson left, and there hasn’t been any noteworthy commentary from current Cardinals personnel regarding the team’s former cornerback.

Kickoff for this Week 13 matchup featuring the Arizona Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Steelers will be at 11:00 AM this Sunday.
