ASU’s Kenny Dillingham Gives Updates on Key Players Ahead of Territorial Cup

Kenny Dillingham spoke at his only media availability of the week about updates to key players on both sides of the football.

Running back DeCarlos Brooks, who had 3 TDs versus Washington State before suffering his second long-term injury of the season, is a good choice for the Territorial Cup. Brooks will be back, which Coach Dillingham is very happy about. He admitted that he is overusing Cam Skattebo, who has definitely looked like a shell of his early-season self as of late. That is probably because he is being asked to play quarterback, running back, and punter.

The second big injury news is that Prince Dorbah, Arizona State’s sack leader, is trending toward playing. He is questionable, but if he does play, that is a massive boost to that D-Line. The D-Line has struggled to get to the QB in recent games. They have a combined four sacks since Dorbah got hurt early three weeks ago.

Finally, maybe the biggest news of the day: Jaden Rashada, ASU’s true freshman QB, who started the season for the Sun Devils, was the first QB in this morning. Now, that doesn’t mean it’s a guarantee, but Kenny Dillingham said there is a chance he starts on Saturday. Rashada looked like a star early in the season, and definitely has a chance to be an incredible talent. This was a lost year for the true freshman. Dillingham only wants to bring him back if he is ready.

Those are the names Dillingham mentioned this morning. They would all be huge pieces for a decimated Sun Devils squad.
