According to ESPN’s Tim MacMahon, Booker sustained the injury in Thursday’s loss to the Spurs.
Suns G Devin Booker is out vs. Pistons today due to a strained right calf. It’s an injury he sustained in Thursday’s loss to the Spurs, when he returned after missing three games due to foot/ankle soreness.

However, during his pregame presser yesterday, Suns’ coach Frank Vogel said that Booker was only dealing with soreness in his left ankle. Booker made his return from injury after three games on Thursday against the Spurs, posting a near 30-point triple double. He was first listed as questionable for yesterday’s game with the left ankle sprain before being ruled out.
He has now missed four games and the Suns (2-4) are 1-3 in games he hasn’t played.
Fans may remember that Booker had an injury designation before playing in the season opener and then missing the next three games. However, these were two different injuries, as Booker had a sore left toe before the opener, then sprained his ankle vs. the Warriors. Now, Booker has his third injury of the season only six games in with this right calf strain.
Bradley Beal (low back spasms) and Damion Lee (right meniscus surgery) remain out for the Suns. Both have yet to play this season, although Beal went through an intense pregame workout before yesterday’s game.
This certainly isn’t news Suns’ fans want to hear, and for Booker he will miss today’s game in his hometown against the Pistons. The game starts at 1 p.m. MST.
