In an absolutely brutal showing by the D’backs bullpen today, the D-backs got absolutely destroyed in an 11-7 game. The score makes it sound closer than it was. The D’backs were down 10-0 in the third inning of the game. D’backs relievers Miguel Castro, Luis Frias, and Kyle Nelson allowed huge innings early.

Here are some fan reactions from a game that was incredibly brutal to watch.
It started in the second for the Rangers as Miguel Castro relieved Joe Mantiply and immediately ran into trouble.
Miguel Castro is one of the worst pitchers in all of Major League Baseball so for a World Series team to trot that out there? It’s borderline hilarious.
Local Arizona coverage has screamed to DFA the guy all season long. Biggest game of the year he’s on the mound. Ha.

Well Torrey, you did this. Which is hard to swallow because we have seen Miguel Castro ruin many games this year. Should have just let Joe finish.

Then came Kyle Nelson, who also allowed three runs.

Terrible timing for Kyle Nelson to have his worst outing of the playoffs

Then Luis Frias allowed three runs behind a terrible defensive play by Christian Walker.
Here is the error by Christian Walker that led to this five-run inning for the Rangers.
Diamondbacks fans will certainly be looking back at this play with disgust if they go on to lose this one…😬 pic.twitter.com/7VNI8HxMa5— The Comeback (@thecomeback) November 1, 2023
That Christian Walker error gave up 5 runs…………..

Christian Walker’s error cost the Dbacks this game

Besides that, nothing happened. Ryne Nelson came in and held down the fort, only giving up a solo homer to Jonah Heim. The D-backs offense didn’t do anything until the 8th inning. Lourdes Gurriel Jr hit a three-run homer.
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hit a three-run homer. At the very least, the Diamondbacks salvage some dignity.
It is 11-5 Texas in the eighth.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr three run blast. still down by six but a good come back

Then, the D-backs added two runs in the 9th, but unfortunately, the run stopped there, as the Rangers finally closed it out. The D-backs are now down 3-1. They will need a miracle to come back and win this series in 7.
Down for sure, but not out. They just need to use the momentum from the late innings today to win tomorrow. The Bullpen game was always going to be a probable loss. Game 1 looms large, but win tomorrow, then just pitch your 3 pitchers and then 🙏.

Oh don’t worry. They will. Diamondbacks garnered a lot of momentum tonight coming back to score 7 runs. Bet they tear it up tomorrow.

Diamondbacks are going to win 3 in a row and win the World Series

The final Chase Field game of the season will be tomorrow at 5:03 p.m. PT. It will once again be Zac Gallen vs Nathan Eovaldi. It is a must-win game. If the D-backs lose, they are done.
