The Hope is Waning as D-back’s Fans Watch Rangers Throttle The Snakes in Game 4

In an absolutely brutal showing by the D’backs bullpen today, the D-backs got absolutely destroyed in an 11-7 game. The score makes it sound closer than it was. The D’backs were down 10-0 in the third inning of the game.  D’backs relievers Miguel Castro, Luis Frias, and Kyle Nelson allowed huge innings early.

Here are some fan reactions from a game that was incredibly brutal to watch.

It started in the second for the Rangers as Miguel Castro relieved Joe Mantiply and immediately ran into trouble.

Then came Kyle Nelson, who also allowed three runs.

Then Luis Frias allowed three runs behind a terrible defensive play by Christian Walker.

Besides that, nothing happened. Ryne Nelson came in and held down the fort, only giving up a solo homer to Jonah Heim. The D-backs offense didn’t do anything until the 8th inning. Lourdes Gurriel Jr hit a three-run homer.

Then, the D-backs added two runs in the 9th, but unfortunately, the run stopped there, as the Rangers finally closed it out. The D-backs are now down 3-1. They will need a miracle to come back and win this series in 7.

The final Chase Field game of the season will be tomorrow at 5:03 p.m. PT. It will once again be Zac Gallen vs Nathan Eovaldi. It is a must-win game. If the D-backs lose, they are done.
