At 39 years old, today marked Scherzer’s 30th postseason appearance.
In replacement of Scherzer, the Rangers put Jon Gray to pitch the 4th inning, Gray was initially supposed to start Game 4.
The Rangers lead the Diamondbacks 3-0 through five innings.
