For the first time since 2007, the National League Championship Series has returned to Chase Field.

And what better way to kick off Game 4 than with Arizona sports legend Larry Fitzgerald throwing out the first pitch?

While the Diamondbacks did make an appearance in the NLCS in 2007, their last victory in the NLCS dates all the way back to their World Series Championship run in 2001.

Currently, the Diamondbacks are trailing the Phillies 0-2, having been outscored 15-3 in these two games.

However, if history holds true, the D-backs should not be counted out just yet.

Since the Brewers’ first playoff appearance in 1981, every team that has defeated them in the postseason has, at the very least, made it to the World Series, as pointed out by CBS Sports.

This includes the ’81 Yankees, ’82 Cardinals, ’08 Phillies, ’11 Cardinals, ’18 Dodgers, ’19 Nationals, ’20 Dodgers, and the ’21 Braves.

The Diamondbacks took down the Brewers in the Wild Card round with a quick two-game sweep.

First pitch for this Game 3 NLCS matchup against the Phillies is set for 2:07 Arizona time.
